Ammi Visnaga

Khella seed Essential Oil

Being that Asthma is a very complex condition, we do NOT recommend the betrayal of your inhaler. Rather, we recommend using Ammi visnaga in conjunction with your current medical treatment plan. Treating asthma naturally is multi-phased. It is important that you seek a qualified health practitioner to formulate a treatment plan that is specific to your needs.

Ammi visnaga is commonly used for asthma relief due to its coronary blood vessel dilating effects. Ammi is a smooth muscle relaxer in the bronchial tissue, vasodilator and helps to relieve spasms.

Before the onset of an asthma attack, please be sure to smell Ammi visnaga to assure there are no adverse reactions. If you are new to aromatherapy, please ease into it by familiarizing yourself to the different oils. It is important to make sure that something you hope to use for an asthma attack does not trigger an asthma attack. Please use great caution.

How do I use Ammi Visnaga Essential Oil?

When you feel an asthma attack coming on, simply open the bottle just so you can smell it for a while. You can put a couple drops onto a handkerchief or tissue and sniff from that or use a cold air diffuser to help distribute the active components into the air. This may help to relieve the asthma attack from its peak by relaxing the smooth muscles in the bronchial tissue. Be sure to notice any differences in the way your body is reacting.

Direct application:

Dilute the Ammi visnaga into Lavender essential oil and apply 5-8 drops on the back, near the lung area. A combination of the following may also be applied in this manner:

  • Lavender 10 parts
  • Ammi 2 parts
  • Roman Chamomile 4 parts
  • Tarragon 3 parts
  • Sweet Marjoram 4 parts

These routines may also help in reconditioning the psyche to relax and associate a greater sense of calm by using the essential oil, leading to a decrease in the use of the inhaler.
